Optometrist – Up to £69k + Benefits

About the role

Vision Express is seeking a qualified optometrist to join its Corstorphine store, located within a Tesco supermarket. The role offers both full‑time and part‑time options, with a modern test room equipped with OCT, a phoropter and a fundus camera, enabling you to deliver comprehensive eye examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations using OCT, phoropter and fundus camera.
• Provide accurate diagnoses and recommend appropriate corrective lenses or treatments.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with GOC standards.
• Collaborate with store team to achieve sales and service targets.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training.

Required profile

• Qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Strong clinical expertise and ability to communicate diagnoses clearly.
• Willingness to work in a retail environment and contribute to a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).
• Experience operating a phoropter.
• Ability to use a fundus camera for retinal imaging.
