Optometrist – Whitstable

About the role

Vision Express is looking for a qualified optometrist to join its Whitstable store, located inside a Tesco. You will work in two fully equipped test rooms with OCT and an Auto Phoropter, providing high‑quality eye examinations and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using OCT and Auto Phoropter equipment.
• Deliver clear diagnoses and treatment recommendations to build patient confidence.
• Collaborate with the store team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Contribute to the commercial performance of the store by meeting sales and service targets.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to GOC standards.

Required profile

• Qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Strong clinical expertise and ability to communicate diagnoses effectively.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to share ideas and support colleagues.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and driving store performance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) equipment.
• Experience using an Auto Phoropter for refraction.

• Competitive salary up to £79,000 per year, plus a £4,000 car allowance.
