Orthopaedic or Spinal Scrub Nurse / ODP

About the role

Join the Theatre department at Ramsay Health Care UK as an Orthopaedic or Spinal Scrub Nurse/ODP. You will work in state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres, supporting surgical teams in delivering high‑quality orthopaedic and spinal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for orthopaedic and spinal surgeries.
• Assist the surgical team with instrument handling, suturing and patient positioning.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate theatre records.
• Participate in theatre briefings and debriefings to promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Current NMC or HCPC registration.
• Proven scrub experience in orthopaedic surgery, including hip and knee arthroplasty and ACL reconstruction.
• Desirable experience in spinal surgery and anaesthesia support.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Positive, flexible attitude with strong communication skills.
