Orthopaedic Theatre Scrub Nurse – Full‑time

About the role

Join Ramsay Health Care’s theatre department as an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse. You will support a range of orthopaedic procedures in a state‑of‑the‑art operating environment, ensuring patient safety and high‑quality clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Scrub in and assist with orthopaedic surgeries such as hip and knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
• Maintain a sterile field and manage surgical instruments throughout each procedure.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider theatre team.
• Document equipment usage and ensure theatre readiness for each case.

Required profile

• NMC registration with no restrictions.
• Proven surgical scrub experience in orthopaedics.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible, positive attitude and empathetic character.

Required skills

• NMC registration
• Orthopaedic surgical scrub experience (hip, knee, ACL procedures)
• Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) – desirable but not essential
