Out of Hours Business Travel Consultant

About the role

Our client, an award‑winning travel management company, is seeking an experienced Out of Hours Business Travel Consultant to join their corporate travel team. You will work remotely, providing essential support to business travellers outside normal office hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage business travel bookings outside normal office hours, including flights, hotels, rail, car hire and other arrangements.
• Provide emergency assistance and repatriation support to travellers.
• Collaborate with the daytime team to ensure seamless handover and high‑quality service.
• Resolve complex travel issues quickly while maintaining a calm, professional approach.
• Build strong client relationships and consistently deliver outstanding service.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Business Travel Consultant.
• Proficiency with a Global Distribution System (GDS) such as Galileo or Amadeus.
• Excellent worldwide geography and airfare knowledge.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and composure under pressure.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make confident decisions.
• Availability to attend a minimum two‑week onsite training programme in the South of England.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent role (37.5 hours per week).
• Remote work after training, with weekend and evening shifts.
• Shift patterns: weekends 08:00‑16:30 or 13:30‑22:00; weekdays generally 13:30‑22:00.
• Comprehensive two‑week training programme onsite.
