Outbound Logistics Manager

About the role

Specsavers is seeking an experienced Outbound Logistics Manager to oversee outbound logistics for its UK and European manufacturing and distribution network. You will ensure that spectacles, contact lenses, optical equipment and store supplies are delivered safely, efficiently and on time across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute outbound logistics strategy for the UK and Europe.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers and warehouse partners.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators and supplier performance metrics.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, efficiency and value.
• Travel regularly to UK and European sites to build relationships and oversee operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, distribution or supply chain management, preferably in a multi‑country environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
• Leadership experience managing a small team and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
