Outdoor SEMH/SEND Provision Lead

About the role

The Outdoor SEMH/SEND Provision Lead will head an innovative outdoor learning programme for pupils with complex SEND needs at Holsworthy C of E Primary School. Working closely with senior leaders and the SEND Coordinator, you will create a supportive environment that builds confidence, resilience and academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate targeted outdoor sessions for pupils with EHCPs or on the pathway to one.
• Manage the outdoor learning space, including resource organisation and maintenance of planting areas.
• Provide leadership and oversight for support staff, ensuring high standards of practice.
• Deliver high‑quality teaching tailored to academic, social, emotional and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and external professionals to design and monitor personalised learning plans.
• Lead small‑group interventions to address learning barriers and promote progress.
• Share specialist expertise with colleagues through coaching, guidance and resource development.
• Accurately assess, monitor and record pupil progress to inform planning and evaluate impact.

Required profile

• Passionate practitioner with experience supporting pupils with SEND and EHCPs.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and ability to develop innovative provision.
• Excellent collaboration skills with senior staff, SENDCo and external agencies.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and improving outcomes for all pupils.

• Part‑time contract with hourly rate of £15.82‑£17.47.
