Outreach Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time (£27‑£30/hr)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Outreach Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for children and young people who cannot currently access mainstream education. The role is based in Stockton‑on‑Tees and involves visiting learners in their homes or suitable public venues.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons that meet each learner’s individual needs.
• Provide in‑person tuition at the learner’s home, library or other agreed venue.
• Build positive relationships to help learners regain confidence and make academic progress.
• Work flexibly around learner availability, including during school hours.

Required profile

• Experience teaching or tutoring children and young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Experience with learners who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) is highly desirable.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring/teaching experience welcomed.
• Reliable transport and willingness to travel within Stockton‑on‑Tees.
