Outsourcing Senior – Chartered Accountancy Practice

About the role

This position supports a long‑standing chartered accountancy practice in Reading, managing a portfolio of outsourcing clients. You will prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping records using cloud‑based accounting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients using various cloud accounting software.
• Produce VAT returns and ensure compliance with Making Tax Digital requirements.
• Compile monthly and quarterly management accounts, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and performance reporting.
• Prepare year‑end accounting records and supporting schedules for hand‑over to the accounts team.
• Assist the Outsourcing Supervisor in reviewing work produced by junior staff.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve bookkeeping, VAT and software queries.
• Deliver client training on bookkeeping systems and accounting processes.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years experience in an accountancy practice.
• Either PQ/Finalist ACA, ACCA or QBE qualification.
• Proven experience producing management accounts and VAT returns.
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
