Overnight Counselling Manager

About the role

The Overnight Counselling Manager will lead a team of 15‑17 frontline counsellors delivering 24/7 employee assistance services across the UK and Ireland. Working the 7 pm‑3 am shift from Thursday to Sunday, you will ensure high‑quality therapeutic support while meeting KPIs and service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the overnight operation of the EAP department.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly performance reports for the Head of Counselling.
• Monitor, mentor and enforce clinical governance and internal policies.
• Set and adjust daily goals based on workforce data and manage performance.
• Ensure calls are handled efficiently without unnecessary delays.
• Identify training needs and coordinate relevant learning interventions.
• Provide risk and safeguarding debriefs and enforce the Risk Guidance policy.
• Assist in investigating and resolving service issues.
