Package Procurement Lead

About the role

JERA Nex bp is seeking a Package Procurement Lead to develop and execute procurement and contracting strategies for offshore wind project packages. You will work closely with the Package Manager and cross‑functional teams to ensure competitive, compliant and value‑driven outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engagement with the supply chain to assess market capabilities, risks and opportunities.
• Support pre‑bid activities by creating procurement plans, cost models and risk assessments aligned with project timelines.
• Collaborate with Category and Project teams to define technical and commercial package requirements.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, and negotiate contracts in line with FIDIC or BIMCO principles.
• Draft and negotiate Preferred Supplier Agreements to secure strategic partnerships.
• Develop and implement contracting strategies, driving innovation and cost optimisation while ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Ensure all procurement actions comply with internal governance, external regulations and local requirements.
• Contribute to cost‑avoidance strategies and support LCOE optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven procurement and contracting experience in offshore wind or large‑scale energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC and BIMCO contract principles.
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts for project packages.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead pre‑bid activities and develop strategic procurement plans.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a focus on risk management and value creation.
