Packing Operative – Warehouse Role in Heywood

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing e‑commerce business in Heywood, is looking for motivated Packing Operatives to join their distribution centre. You will work on a rotating Sunday‑to‑Friday schedule, helping to keep the warehouse running smoothly and ensuring orders are prepared accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and handle inbound deliveries with care.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and update stock records.
• Sort items and place them on shelves according to system instructions.
• Verify stock quantities against paperwork to maintain accuracy.
• Pick and pack customer orders following pick‑lists.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and report any issues promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to work efficiently using your own initiative.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Resilient and positive in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• RF scanners for inventory management.
