Painter & Decorator – Care Home Maintenance

About the role

Excelcare Holdings is seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join its maintenance team across 11 care homes in the Essex region. You will work directly in residents' homes, delivering high‑quality painting and decorating services while providing friendly customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Paint and decorate rooms, corridors, lounges and other areas within care homes.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Travel between multiple care home locations using your own vehicle.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Painter & Decorator.
• Own basic tools; all materials supplied by the employer.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (required for work with vulnerable adults).
