About the role
We are seeking a reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team at a busy student accommodation in Durham. The role is temporary, based on a single site, and offers a competitive hourly rate with holiday pay. You will prepare rooms for new residents, applying high‑quality finishes and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, priming and cleaning.
- Apply paints, varnishes and finishes to walls, ceilings and woodwork.
- Carry out minor repair work prior to painting.
- Maintain a neat, tidy and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Deliver work to high‑quality standards within agreed timelines.
Required profile
- Proven experience in residential painting and decorating.
- Strong attention to detail and high‑quality finishing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time‑management and reliability.
