Panel Wirer – Electrical Assembly Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Panel Wirer/Fitter to join a leading manufacturer supplying the electrical industry. The role involves building distribution and power units from scratch, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Fit and assemble various types of distribution and power units.
• Read and interpret electrical layout drawings, schematics and parts lists.
• Gather components, sub‑assemblies, tools and materials for each work order.
• Perform crimping, looming, glanding and cable termination on control panels, including SWA cables.
• Cut and fit cable trays, solder connections and ensure correct fit of all parts.
• Maintain paperwork, complete work orders and report any shortages or equipment issues.
• Use general workshop machinery and hand tools to meet allocated time‑scales.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience of electrical assembly and control‑panel wiring.
• Experience working in a mechanical/electrical engineering environment.
• Electrical qualifications and knowledge of relevant regulations.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
