Panel Wirer – Electrical Assembly (Wrexham)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Panel Wirer to join a leading manufacturing business in Wrexham. The role involves assembling and wiring electrical control panels to precise specifications, ensuring high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Wire and assemble control panels according to specifications.
• Install and terminate wiring looms and various cable types (0.5 mm to 120 mm).
• Perform crimping using hand‑operated and battery‑powered tools.
• Install and connect circuit breakers ranging from 100 A to 2000 A.
• Complete current transformer (CT) wiring.
• Install PLC controllers and automatic voltage regulators (AVRs).
• Follow engineering drawings and company procedures throughout the build process.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation/Engineering (preferred).
• Apprentice‑trained candidates are welcome.
• Proven experience as a Panel Wirer or Electrical Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Required skills

• Cable termination and crimping (hand and battery‑powered tools).
• Installation of circuit breakers (100 A‑2000 A).
• Current transformer wiring.
• PLC controller installation.
• Automatic voltage regulator installation.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems.
