Paralegal – Real Estate (Hybrid)

About the role

We are a respected UK law firm based in East Sussex seeking an enthusiastic Paralegal to join our busy Real Estate team. You will support a solicitor throughout the conveyancing process, from initial instruction to post‑completion tasks, ensuring smooth and compliant transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Open new files and ensure AML compliance.
• Provide administrative support for exchange formalities, completion and post‑completion activities.
• Prepare reports on titles, mortgages and searches under supervision.
• Raise and review enquiries on title, contract packs, searches and surveys.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors to progress transactions.
• Draft financial statements and invoices.
• Maintain internal and external systems with accurate updates.

Required profile

• Previous conveyancing support experience in a legal environment.
• Relevant legal qualifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work to timescales, use initiative and demonstrate commercial awareness.
• Well‑organised with a keen eye for detail.

Required skills

• AML compliance knowledge.
