Paralegal – Transfers

About the role

The LP Transfers team is seeking a Paralegal to provide transactional support, including client liaison, deal execution, post‑closing management and general administration. You will work closely with supervising lawyers and investors to ensure smooth transfer processes.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise daily with clients and investors on legal documentation, CDD/AML requirements and transfer progress.
• Draft LP transfer deeds, agreements, NDAs, closing suites (board minutes, written resolutions, form LP6s, Gazette notices) and related documents.
• Review investor comments, prepare responses, and participate in negotiation calls as needed.
• Monitor emails, prioritize work, attend departmental meetings and training sessions.
• Proofread and review documents, research using Westlaw, LexisNexis and other subscription services.
• Maintain closing checklists, update status reports and create document closing “bibles”.
• Perform general administrative and ad‑hoc duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication abilities with partners, clients and staff at all levels.
• Motivated self‑starter, good team player and able to use initiative.
• Flexibility to work overtime on short notice when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Adobe PDF, Filesite and iManage.
• Research skills using Westlaw and LexisNexis.
