Paraplanner Administrator

About the role

Our client, an independent financial planning firm in Rayleigh, is seeking an experienced Paraplanner Administrator to support advisers and paraplanners. The role involves managing client cases from inception to completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support advisers and paraplanners in delivering financial planning services.
• Issue, chase and summarise Letters of Authority (LOAs) and liaise with providers.
• Process new business across multiple platforms, including trade placement, report generation and illustration production.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client records and back‑office systems.
• Monitor case progress, communicate with providers and clients, and provide administrative assistance to the wider team.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Financial Services Administrator within financial planning, wealth management or independent financial advice.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Proactive, dependable, and able to take ownership of workload.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Aspiration to progress into paraplanning and a long‑term career in financial services.
