Paraplanner – Financial Planning Specialist

About the role

The role involves supporting experienced Financial Advisers in delivering high-quality, client-focused financial planning. You will conduct technical research, analyse complex cases and produce compliant suitability reports for high-net-worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed technical research and financial analysis for client cases.
• Produce clear, accurate and FCA-compliant suitability reports.
• Support advisers with complex pension, investment, estate planning and protection solutions.
• Prepare cash-flow modelling to underpin client recommendations.
• Work with leading investment platforms and ensure recommendations meet internal quality standards.
• Contribute ideas to improve the firm’s advice proposition and client experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Paraplanner within an Independent Financial Advice practice.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
• Experience supporting high-net-worth, retirement-focused clients.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, estate planning and protection.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ambition to achieve Chartered status.

Required skills

• Use of platforms such as Transact, Aberdeen or Quilter.
• Cash-flow modelling software.
