Paraplanner – Financial Planning Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join an award‑winning independent financial planning firm. You will work closely with advisers and the paraplanning team leader to deliver high‑quality technical support for high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client information, existing investments and policies.
• Perform tax calculations and construct appropriate solutions.
• Write suitability reports for cases of varying complexity.
• Run cash‑flow models and act as a technical point of contact for colleagues and advisers.
• Communicate research timelines and report delivery dates to clients.
• Attend client meetings when required and help train other team members.
• Lead pod meetings, conduct peer reviews and contribute to project work to improve systems and processes.

Required profile

• Confident dealing with high‑net‑worth clients and professional contacts.
• Strong technical knowledge of all financial products.
• Minimum CII Level 4 diploma, ideally progressing towards Chartered status.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a paraplanning role.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage a busy workload.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
