Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented Paraplanner to join our financial planning team in Watford. You will support Financial Advisers by preparing high‑quality suitability reports, conducting technical research, and ensuring all advice complies with FCA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and compliant suitability reports based on adviser recommendations.
• Conduct in‑depth research on financial products and funds.
• Analyse client information, including income, assets, pensions, investments, and protection needs.
• Support advisers in developing financial planning strategies.
• Ensure all advice aligns with FCA regulations and internal compliance standards.
• Liaise with advisers and administrators to gather and clarify client information.
• Assist in preparing cash‑flow modelling and financial planning scenarios where required.
• Maintain accurate and well‑organised client records.
• Stay up to date with financial products, legislation, and market changes.

Required profile

• Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4).
• Previous experience in a paraplanning or technical financial services role.
• Strong understanding of pensions, investments, and protection products.
• Experience writing suitability reports and knowledge of FCA regulations.
• Excellent analytical, research, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with advisers.
