Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a high‑performing team within a Principal Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management in Moorgate, London. You will support the Financial Planner in delivering holistic advice to a demanding client base, working in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse client needs to support the Financial Planner.
• Prepare financial plans, suitability reports and letters for new business, annual reviews and ad‑hoc advice.
• Research internal and external products to ensure the highest standards of advice.
• Compile cash‑flow models and technical data for presentation to advisers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product and technical knowledge and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Develop and maintain internal relationships across the business.
• Complete Continuous Professional Development to meet regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Previous senior‑level paraplanning experience in a similar role.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) qualified or working towards it, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of pension, investment and inheritance‑tax products.
• Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident in client interaction and able to work with discretion.
