Paraplanner – Financial Services (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a well‑established financial services firm in Berkhamsted. The role combines office‑based work with hybrid flexibility after an initial training period, offering a supportive environment for career development.

Key responsibilities

• Draft suitability reports for new money, fund switches, pension transfers and other client requests.
• Conduct financial product research using FE Analytics, Cashcalc and Defaqto.
• Manage new business submissions, perform data entry and prepare meeting documentation.
• Assist advisers with client communications and act as a point of contact when advisers are unavailable.
• Maintain compliance standards and update CRM systems such as XPlan and Intelligent Office.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar financial services role.
• GCSE English & Maths (grade C or above).
• Strong attention to detail, organisational ability and excellent written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with CRM platforms – XPlan, Intelligent Office.
• Financial research tools – FE Analytics, Cashcalc, Defaqto.
