Paraplanner – Technical Financial Planning Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with a respected independent firm of Chartered Financial Planners to hire an experienced Paraplanner. The role focuses on the technical side of financial planning, delivering high‑quality, detailed work within a supportive professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level paraplanning support to advisers.
• Produce detailed and accurate suitability reports.
• Conduct complex technical research and analysis.
• Prepare tax calculations (IHT, CGT, Annual Allowance, etc.).
• Review files for complex and higher‑risk cases.
• Prepare client valuations and investment analysis.

Required profile

• Diploma‑qualified minimum, with Chartered progression supported.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, taxation and estate planning.
• Experience in an independent financial planning environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• A Pension Transfer Specialist qualification (G60, AF3 or AF7) is advantageous but not essential.
