Paraplanner / Trainee Financial Adviser – Surbiton

About the role

We are seeking a Paraplanner / Trainee Financial Adviser to join our independent financial planning firm in Surbiton. This office‑based position offers a clear progression route to becoming an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) with an inherited client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive suitability reports for client portfolios.
• Prepare for client meetings and annual reviews, gathering performance data and analysing portfolio results.
• Summarise complex technical information into clear, client‑facing documents while maintaining compliance.
• Conduct technical research and provider comparisons across the firm’s product range.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the financial administration team.
• Assist with SIPP onboarding cases as required.

Required profile

• Paraplanning experience within an IFA or independent financial planning environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and related financial planning structures.
• Ability to work independently without step‑by‑step direction.
• Proficiency with FE Analytics for report generation.
