Part 2 Architectural Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join a thriving practice in Berkshire that specialises in bespoke residential projects. You will work alongside experienced designers, contributing to high‑end homes and interiors while gaining exposure to all stages of the design and construction process.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of bespoke residential schemes across multiple RIBA stages.
• Prepare design packages, planning submissions and technical drawings.
• Assist in developing interior design concepts, finishes and material selections.
• Produce high‑quality visual presentations and client‑facing documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants and contractors, attending meetings and contributing ideas.
• Assist with detailed design development and technical coordination.
• Contribute to sustainable and innovative design solutions.

Required profile

• RIBA Part 2 qualified Architectural Assistant.
• Previous experience in the UK residential sector, preferably high‑end private projects.
• Strong design flair with attention to detail, materials and spatial quality.
• Excellent graphic, presentation and communication skills.
• Organised, self‑motivated and eager to work in a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Vectorworks (beneficial).
• Knowledge of Passivhaus principles.
• Experience with CGI and rendering tools.
• Familiarity with AI visualisation tools.
