Part Qualified Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated part‑qualified accountant to join a well‑established chartered accountancy firm in Chichester. The role offers a clear pathway to account‑manager level, full study support and a dynamic client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Draft corporation tax computations and returns.
• Produce management accounts with commentary and analysis.
• Assist with VAT returns and resolve client VAT queries.
• Review work of junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Support clients on bookkeeping using cloud platforms such as Xero and QuickBooks.
• Identify value‑adding opportunities, including advisory services and software training.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax and accounting regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Part‑qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA) and committed to completing qualifications.
• Ability to commute regularly to the Chichester office (or nearby Tunbridge Wells area).
• Strong analytical mindset and client‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud accounting software – Xero.
• Proficiency with cloud accounting software – QuickBooks.
