About the role

We are looking for a reliable and detail‑focused Accounts Assistant to join a friendly finance team on a part‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone with solid ledger experience who is seeking a flexible position of 25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the sales ledger, raise invoices, allocate payments, and resolve customer queries.
• Process purchase ledger duties, including supplier invoices, statement reconciliation, and payment run preparation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support the finance team with day‑to‑day tasks.
• Assist with month‑end routines as required, ensuring timely closing activities.
• Provide general administrative support to keep financial operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in both sales and purchase ledger is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial work.
• Confident using accounting software and Excel for data handling.
• Proactive, organised approach with the ability to work independently.
• Friendly, professional communication with suppliers and customers.
