Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk (15-20 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team on a part‑time basis. The role is office‑based in Basingstoke and offers flexible hours, ideal for someone who enjoys a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in accurate financial record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Prepare payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid on schedule.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier queries professionally.
• Post financial transactions to the accounting system.
• Assist with month‑end processes and reporting.
• Maintain organised financial records and support broader finance team tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounts payable or purchase ledger.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
