Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in Basingstoke. The role is office‑based, offering 25–30 flexible hours per week within a supportive IT services organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Prepare payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid on schedule.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier queries professionally.
• Post financial transactions to the accounting system.
• Assist with month‑end processes and reporting.
• Maintain organised financial records and provide administrative support to the finance team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounts payable or purchase ledger.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective prioritisation and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
