Part-Time Assistant Store Manager – Customer-Focused Retail Role

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Assistant Store Manager to join our growing customer‑focused business in Petersfield. The role offers a balanced schedule with no late shifts, no Sunday work and half‑day Saturdays on a rotational basis.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email and face‑to‑face, providing suitable solutions.
• Follow up on new enquiries and convert opportunities into new customers.
• Explain our services confidently and recommend the most appropriate options.
• Build and maintain relationships with individual customers, local businesses and supporting organisations.
• Support the Store Manager in driving sales and maximising revenue.
• Manage and retain existing customer relationships and promote additional products where appropriate.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, site presentation and administration.

Required profile

• Experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or sales advisor in retail, property, leisure, automotive or similar customer‑facing environments.
• Confident communicator by phone, email and in person.
• Commercially aware with a focus on meeting sales targets.
• Organised, able to prioritise a varied workload.
• IT literate and comfortable learning new systems.
• Reliable and proactive with a positive, professional attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
