Part-Time Bookkeeper & Payroll Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Bookkeeper / Payroll Assistant to join our fast‑growing finance team in Warrington on a part‑time basis. The role offers three days a week of flexible work, with the opportunity to develop your bookkeeping and payroll expertise within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and upload invoices into the accounting system.
• Run weekly and monthly payroll runs.
• Check, reconcile and submit expense claims and receipts.
• Assist with VAT return preparation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Support month‑end closing activities.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Handle purchase and sales ledger duties.
• Carry out general finance administration tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in bookkeeping and/or payroll.
• Highly organised and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
