Part Time Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive new business growth for an innovative electronics manufacturing company. You will identify opportunities across the UK, build relationships with potential customers and work closely with our internal sales team to deliver tailored technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
• Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with prospective customers.
• Understand customer needs and collaborate with internal teams to provide customised technical solutions.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions and client meetings.
• Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate forecasts.
• Support the internal sales team during account hand‑over and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within electronics manufacturing, cable assembly or a related technical sector.
• Strong technical mindset with the ability to understand and translate technical concepts into customer solutions.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently while valuing teamwork.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help customers succeed.

Required skills

What we offer

• Basic salary of £30,000‑£35,000 per annum (pro‑rata) with a quarterly bonus.
• Flexible working – three full days (Tuesday‑Thursday) or five days pro‑rata, with one remote day per week.
• 21 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro‑rata).
