Part-Time Dental Nurse

About the role

Our client, a leading dental practice in East Sussex, is seeking a qualified Part‑Time Dental Nurse to join their friendly, professional team. The role offers a supportive environment where you will work closely with the dentist and contribute to high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the dentist with all duties within the consulting room.
• Prepare, mix and present dental filling materials as required.
• Maintain health and safety standards in the surgery.
• Monitor and report maintenance of dental equipment, including X‑Ray machines and sterilisation units.
• Process and develop X‑ray images for surgery.
• Manage stock rotation, re‑ordering of supplies, and sterilisation of instruments.
• Maintain computerised filing, appointments and patient records.
• Prepare patients for examinations and support the dentist during procedures.

Required profile

• Good level of education and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Effective time‑management and ability to work independently.
• Computer literacy with full training on in‑house software.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (preferred).
• Computer literacy with practice‑specific dental software.
• Ability to operate X‑Ray equipment and process radiographs.
