Part-Time Finance Officer

About the role

Join a friendly, supportive finance team on a part‑time, temporary basis with the potential to become permanent. You will work onsite in Lambeth North, supporting the Assistant Accountant and the wider finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate day‑to‑day accounting records on the Sun computer system.
• Manage the purchase ledger and ensure proper authorisation for invoices and expenses.
• Set up new supplier and employee accounts on a weekly basis.
• Process weekly payment runs and handle international transactions.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and assist with annual audits.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to other finance team members as required.

Required profile

• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency and solid IT skills.
• Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to meet deadlines.
• Experience using SunSystems and working towards an accounting qualification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
• Customer‑facing experience handling inquiries.
