Part-time Financial Controller

About the role

This part‑time Financial Controller will act as the right‑hand to the CFO, overseeing financial operations for a fast‑growing business services organisation. The role is on‑site for three to four days a week and focuses on accurate reporting, compliance and strategic financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee financial statements and management reports.
• Develop, monitor and adjust budgets to meet financial targets.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audit cycles.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Streamline financial processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Supervise and support the accounting team in daily activities.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent (QBE acceptable).
• Proven experience in financial management within the business services sector.
• Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
