About the role
We are seeking a proactive Part‑Time HR Assistant to join a family‑orientated business. You will provide essential HR and administrative support, helping to maintain smooth recruitment, onboarding and employee record processes.
Key responsibilities
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Set up and maintain accurate employee files for new starters.
- Manage general HR administration, including leavers’ documentation.
- Maintain the BrightHR system – update absences, authorise holidays and keep records current.
- Respond to HR‑related queries from employees and managers.
- Organise training sessions and keep training records up to date.
- Carry out general administrative duties such as filing and document management.
Required profile
- Previous experience in an HR or people‑focused role.
- Friendly, approachable manner with the confidence to work independently.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification is advantageous.
Required skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with HR databases/systems, specifically BrightHR.
