Part-time Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science (5 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science and Sport Coaching to join Hertford Regional College’s Broxbourne Campus. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching to inspire and support learners across 5 hours per week, starting September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, practical sessions and assessments in sport‑related modules.
• Implement course review, evaluation and development processes in line with college policy.
• Set and monitor targets for student recruitment, attendance, retention and achievement.
• Provide pastoral support, manage student discipline and liaise with parents, guardians and employers.
• Act as personal tutor for assigned groups of learners.
• Conduct entry‑phase activities such as interviewing, assessing, selecting and inducting new students.
• Organise and supervise student placements where required.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about supporting learners to develop knowledge and practical skills.
• Ability to deliver engaging, student‑centred teaching in sport and exercise science.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Sport and Exercise Science.
• Knowledge of Sport Coaching principles and practice.
