Part-Time Payroll Officer (Remote, 12‑month contract)

About the role

This is a part‑time, 12‑month contract position working remotely for a reputable payroll bureau. You will manage end‑to‑end payroll for multiple UK clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll runs for various clients.
• Calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, holiday pay, pensions and related benefits.
• Execute BACS payments, manage PAYE/NIC deductions, and issue payslips.
• Liaise with HMRC for RTI submissions and respond to employee payroll queries.
• Provide payroll advice and produce management reports.
• Maintain regular communication with clients via phone and email.

Required profile

• Solid experience in UK payroll preparation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client payrolls simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle competing workloads.

Required skills

• PayCircle payroll software.
• BACS payment processing.
