Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Southwark)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate, creative individual to join our Southwark SEND school as a Part‑Time Teaching Assistant for KS2 pupils. You will work 2‑3 days a week supporting children with a range of special educational needs in a therapeutic, child‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support KS2 pupils with diverse SEN in classroom and during creative learning activities.
• Use art, music, play and sensory approaches to help children express themselves and build confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and wellbeing support.
• Encourage communication, social interaction and emotional regulation through engaging experiences.

Required profile

• Experience working with children with SEN or in a therapeutic/creative setting.
• Creative mindset with interest or skills in art, music, drama, play or sensory activities.
• Patient, caring and positive attitude.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
