Part-time SENCO – 3 days per week

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SENCO to join a well‑established early years school in Hammersmith on a part‑time basis (three days per week) from September 2026. The role will be central to developing inclusive practice and ensuring all pupils receive the support they need.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage SEND provision across the school, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
• Identify, assess and monitor pupils with additional needs, implementing effective support plans.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, governors and external professionals to secure positive outcomes.
• Provide guidance, coaching and training to staff to promote high‑quality inclusive teaching and learning.
• Maintain accurate SEND records, coordinate EHCP processes and monitor pupil progress.
• Champion an inclusive school culture where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a SENCO Award or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a SENCO or in a senior SEND leadership role within an early years or primary setting.
• Strong knowledge of statutory SEND legislation and EHCP processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and external agencies.
