Part Time Senior Care Assistant

About the role

Join the caring team at Lime Court Care Home in Dovercourt, Essex, as a Part‑Time Senior Care Assistant. You will work a 12‑hour night shift, providing physical, emotional and social support to residents with diverse needs, including dementia and physical disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and support a team of Care Assistants to ensure high‑quality care.
• Deliver person‑centred care, promoting independence, dignity and choice.
• Contribute to the creation, review and update of care plans and risk assessments.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities during night hours.
• Collaborate with the Home Manager, ancillary teams and other senior staff.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care, or three years’ experience without the qualification.
• Experience in a nursing or care home environment.
• Understanding of CQC regulatory frameworks.
• Enthusiastic, caring and passionate about supporting older people.

Required skills

• Use of an electronic medication administration record (e‑MAR) system.

• Hourly rate of £14.05‑£14.50, dependent on experience.
