Part Time Senior Practice Accountant

About the role

Join a leading chartered accountancy practice in Paddock Wood as a Part‑Time Senior Practice Accountant. You will work within a supportive team, handling statutory accounts, corporate tax returns and offering the chance to develop management accounting and self‑assessment tax work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns.
• Manage a mixed client portfolio, from small business owners to multi‑million‑pound groups.
• Oversee and review the work of junior staff and bookkeepers.
• Onboard new clients and support partners with ad‑hoc consulting and systems implementation.

Required profile

• Qualified or studying ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience.
• 3‑5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• Previous role as Semi‑Senior or Senior Accountant with hands‑on experience of accounts, tax and VAT.
