About the role
The Partner role sits within the Corporate Team of the Corporate Services Division at Birketts LLP in Ipswich. You will work alongside a nationally recognised team of over 60 fee earners and 19 partners, advising a diverse client base across the business life‑cycle.
Key responsibilities
- Advise entrepreneurs, private equity and venture capital funds, financial institutions and owner‑managed businesses on corporate matters.
- Lead transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, buy‑outs, development capital fundraisings, employee ownership transactions and refinancing.
- Collaborate with specialist sub‑teams (private equity, venture capital, capital markets, incentives/EOT) and other service lines including Banking & Finance, Corporate Tax and Company Secretarial.
- Work on international corporate transactions and coordinate with overseas law firms on cross‑border deals.
Required profile
- Senior lawyer with extensive experience in corporate law and transactional work.
- Proven track record advising clients across start‑ups to large public companies.
- Ability to contribute to the team’s growth and ambitious future plans.
