Partner / Legal Director

About the role

Birketts LLP is seeking a Partner / Legal Director to lead the expansion of its Residential Real Estate practice in Bristol. The successful candidate will establish and manage a new team, delivering technically‑excellent legal services while driving business development and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and lead a new residential real estate legal team in the Bristol office.
• Provide high‑quality advice on property transactions, leasing, development and dispute matters.
• Develop and nurture client relationships to generate new business opportunities.
• Contribute to the Residential Real Estate management group on strategy, culture and employee experience.
• Act as an ambassador for Birketts’ culture, fostering collaboration across all offices.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with extensive experience in residential real estate law.
• Proven track record of building and leading high‑performing legal teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop new client connections.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
