Partner Solution Architect
NetApp · Windsor
Job description
About the role
NetApp is looking for a Partner Solution Architect (PSA) in Windsor, UK. The PSA is a technical leader who helps partners become self-sufficient technical engines of growth, acting as a trusted advisor to strategic reseller, distributor and alliance partners. The role builds partner capability, shapes technical strategy and enables partners to independently position, architect, sell and deliver NetApp solutions, through coaching, mentoring and community development rather than direct ownership of customer opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Own the technical enablement strategy for assigned partners and develop their technical maturity through workshops, bootcamps, hands-on labs, onboarding programmes and coaching.
- Mentor partner Solution Architects, Systems Engineers and technical leaders, and enable distributor technical teams to qualify, design and support opportunities autonomously.
- Provide architecture guidance on complex partner-led opportunities, support solution validation and design reviews, and help partners build differentiated, domain-led offerings.
- Present at bootcamps, partner conferences, technical communities and industry forums, and contribute to technical content, reference architectures and enablement materials.
- Build technical communities, advisory groups and peer networks, and connect partner practice leaders with NetApp experts.
- Work with sales, channel, marketing and alliance teams to drive partner-led pipeline creation, campaigns and portfolio expansion.
- Capture partner and customer feedback and share market insights with internal stakeholders to influence technical strategy.
Required profile
- Significant experience in technical presales, solution architecture, consulting, partner enablement or related technical leadership roles.
- Experience working with channel partners, distributors, system integrators or alliance partners.
- Experience aligning technical strategy and enablement programmes to commercial priorities, and developing technical capability through coaching and mentoring.
- Nice to have: experience in a technical role within a sales, channel or alliance organisation; experience building technical communities and creating technical content; experience across multiple countries or partner ecosystems.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT, cloud, data infrastructure and solution architecture.
- Familiarity with hyperscaler cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and alliance technologies such as Cisco, NVIDIA and Commvault.
- Ability to turn technical differentiation into repeatable partner-led solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
