Parts Controller

About the role

Join Thermo King UK in Avonmouth as a Parts Controller, responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels and supporting service operations. You will play a key part in ensuring parts availability, accurate inventory records, and efficient store management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels, implementing inventory strategies to avoid stockouts and overstock.
• Conduct monthly stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update records.
• Replenish service vans with required parts and consumables, coordinating timely restocking.
• Book parts to jobs in the service management system with proper documentation.
• Manage purchasing of consumables and personal protective equipment (PPE) for service teams.
• Oversee goods receiving, ensuring accurate documentation and quality inspection.
• Handle warranty parts, processing returns, replacements, and tracking claims.
• Maintain a clean, organized parts store and promote best practices across regions.
• Support the Service Controller during peak periods, assisting with call handling, engineer planning, and customer liaison.

Required profile

• Proven experience in parts control or inventory management.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and related tools.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
