Part‑Time Accounts & Payroll Officer

About the role

This part‑time position offers 25 hours per week (potentially up to 30 hours) supporting a growing SME in Royal Wootton Bassett. You will handle a broad range of accounting and payroll duties within a supportive, office‑based environment and have the chance to take on additional responsibilities over time.

Key responsibilities

• General accounts administration, including purchase and sales ledger duties
• Processing invoices and payments and performing bank reconciliations
• Weekly and monthly payroll processing
• Handling supplier and customer account queries and credit control
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Supporting month‑end processes
• Liaising with internal teams and external contacts

Required profile

• Previous payroll experience is essential
• AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Proven experience using Sage accounting software
• Strong all‑round accounts experience across payable, receivable, payroll, VAT and general finance administration

What we offer

• Salary £26,000 – £28,000 per year (actual), based on 25 hours/week
• Potential to increase to 30 hours/week, Monday‑Friday 9:00 am‑2:00 pm
