Part‑time Bookkeeper – 21 hrs/week

About the role
We are looking for a part‑time Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join a small finance team in East Grinstead. Working 21 hours per week on‑site, you will report directly to the Managing Director and act as the main link between the external accountants and the internal finance function.
Key responsibilities
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank, supplier and customer accounts.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Liaise with external accountants to ensure accurate reporting.
- Support the finance team with ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or assistant accountant role.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for reconciliations.
- Ability to work independently and take a “hands‑on” approach.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
Required skills
- Experience with Xero accounting software (highly advantageous).
